Now that we are in Utah I have been eating outside and lately eating inside where I have a magnificent view of the mountains. It has been so long since I could gaze my eyes upon them that I relish each morning.
One thing I do not relish is Utah's lowering temperatures in September! Today, this morning the temp has fallen into the thirties! I don't even have our coats unpacked! The clouds cover the eastern mountains and there is a haze over the valley. Something I will struggle with all winter unless I arrange my mind as to not struggle.
Today I'm looking forward to Asher coming...... But have double scheduled myself and have lunch with an acquaintance from high school. Also women's conference in the evening. I have had so little time with my grandson that I'm thinking of foregoing the women's conference. It can be seen later through technology!
Our house is looking up. Even the weather will be better next week. The big things in the house we did at first made the biggest differences. Now the small things we do don't make as big of a showing. Next week we will have to get on the roof and make repairs. We've got to be safe and snug for the winter. We purchased supplies and are ready to go!

What a ride!
We have been so busy with our move it has been hard to find down time. Here are the highlights:
~ Needed two moving vans to cross the country, his and hers
~ Drove through a tropical storm one day, Harvey
~ Lost one truck's gas cap
~ Took us four days to drive the trip
~ Arrived to a house that was not habitable
~ Unable to unpack
~ Our children worked to pull out carpets before we arrived, they have worked hard helping us ever since
~ Used masks to work on the house first two days
~ Put our house under code violation with the city
~ Encapsulated walls with kilz to kill the odor
~ Slow work in progress to make our home liveable again.
