Pennsylvania Gettaway

One thing nice about being empty nesters
is that you can do what you want
when you want,
without having to please many members of the family.
Lincoln and I try to get away for long weekends.

We chose to go to Lancaster, PA for 2nd year in a row.
We rented a room at a bed and breakfast place,
Lancaster is a very quaint little town with:
Amish people,
Amish food,
Amish things,
Shops,
Fireflies,
Rocking chairs.
We loved it.
Peace and quiet.

The porch of the Bed and Breakfast. . . .

Our room

 The Choo CHoo Barn.

Model Trains . . . .

Miniature golf . . . .

The beginning of our "fairy" garden.

While we were in Lancaster we went and visited my cousin
Shelly and her husband and family.

They are such a fun family and family is the best!

We went to the Turkey Hill Ice Cream factory while with our family.

"Milking" the cow.

Shelly signed us up to make our own ice cream flavored ice cream.
It was yummy and fun.

Us standing in a bucket of ice cream.
Emily Jane was visiting Shelly.
It was great to see her too!

I think this is the Susquehenna River . . . .

Such Cuteness!
It is nice to have family close enough to visit.
